Sidney was born in Canada to Nelson and Mary Ann (Starr). He married Edith Agnes Dunlop in 1914. They had 7 children, Sidney E., W. Lloyd, George, Edith M., Robert, Sybil and Keith. They moved to the United States in 1923 and resided in McCloud, Ca. until the late 1940's when they moved to Sacramento.
