Kenneth R. Mumma, Sr.
Kenneth R. "Kenny" Mumma, Sr., 68, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2004 in his hometown of Dauphin.
He was born in Fishing Creek Valley on September 16, 1936, a son of the late William J. and Lillie Wade Mumma.
He was retired from the City of Harrisburg. He was a member of the Dauphin Fire Company and American Legion Post 1001. Kenny was an avid hunter and golfer, whose credits include Harrisburg District Junior Golf Championship, Patriot-News Caddy Championship and District 3 Golf Championship, in which he set a long standing 36 hole record. He will be respected and loved by friends and family forever.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jo Beverly Meck Mumma; 2 sons, Kenneth R. Mumma, Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Harrisburg and Steven Scot Mumma and his wife, Lisa of Dauphin; 1 sister, Dauris Donmoyer and her husband, Dennis of West Hanover Twp.; 2 brothers, Charles Albert Mumma and his wife, Virginia of Dauphin and Earl R. Mumma and his wife, Maryann of Harrisburg; 3 grandchildren, Deirdre Clark of Carlisle, Rachael Elizabeth Mumma of Dauphin and Shelby Erin Mumma of Dauphin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, October 16, 2004 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Linglestown. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
