Orpha Lena Mumaw Ryman, 86 of Woodstock widow of Norman "Sam" Elwood Ryman, died Saturday, March 17, 2012.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, 10:00 AM at the Community Mission Church of the Brethren by Rev. Howard Lutz. Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ryman was born October 21, 1925 at Columbia Furnace, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late William R. and Dora Estep Mumaw. Mrs. Ryman was a member of the Community Mission Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Olen and Braden Mumaw.
Mrs. Ryman is survived by two sons, Orville Elwood Ryman of New Market and Dennis Lee Ryman of Mt. Jackson; two sisters, Erma Rinker of Woodstock and Helen Mumaw of Columbia Furnace; two brothers, Everett and Landon Mumaw, both of Columbia Furnace; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Community Mission Church of the Brethren.
