Her obituary reads:
Burnt Cabins-Marilyn E. MUMMA, 52, of Burnt Cabins, died Sunday, July 3, 1988, in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 12, 1936, in Wells Tannery, Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Gene and Winifred STUNKARD THOMAS. She was a member of Burnt Cabins United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and organist for 34 years. She was a beautician. She was a member of the Burnt Cabins Civic Association. She married her husband, James L. MUMMA on August 28, 1953. In addition to her husband, surviving are two daughters, Denise K . LOCKE of Shade Gap and Renne L. WILSON of Burnt Cabins; two brothers, Melvin THOMAS of Wells Tannery and John THOMAS of Chambersburg; a sister, Carolyn SNYDER of Harrisonville; and five grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Sheldon will officiate. Burial will be in Burnt Cabins cemetery.
