Chester G. Chaney, 74, of South Fork, died on Sat., February 20, in Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. He was born on August 1, 1885 in Bedford County, a son of Amos and Sara J. Mumaugh Chaney. He was married to Minnie P. Lingenfelter, who preceded him in death. Surviving are the following children: Charles Chaney of Sidman, Mrs. Beatrice Kurtz of Johnstown, Mrs. Violet Phillips of Wilkinsburg, Mrs. Mary Fresch of South Fork, Raymond Chaney of South Fork and Orville Chaney of Johnstown. There are 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters, William Chaney of Wadsworth, OH, and Edward and Charles Chaney, Mrs. Jennie Long and Mrs. Nellie Black, all of Six Mile Run. Two children preceded him in death. Mr. Chaney was a member of the UMWA, Johnstown Local and South Fork EUB Church. Funeral services will be held Wed. at South Fork.

"Duke Obits are a collection of clippings I bought from James BOOR of New Enterprise, PA. Boor Obits are a subset of clippings that I got piecemeal before obtaining the complete collection. Obits are from various unidentified newspapers with no dates of issue."
