MRS. VIRGINIA M. GARLICK
Mrs. Virginia Myrtle Garlick of Six Mile Run died at her home on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 1963. She had been in failing health for the past year. She was born February 6, 1875, in Fulton County, a daughter of Amos and Sarah (Mumma) Chaney. Her first marriage was to Albert Long and later to William Garlock (Garlock is the way it is spelt in the obit.) Both preceded her in death. Surviving are the following children: Ms. Sadie Thomas, William Long, Mrs. Nellie E. Long, Bruce Long and Charles Long, all of Six Mile Run, Roy Long of Ravenna, Ohio. One daughter proceeded her in death. There are 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and one sister: William Chaney of Wadsworth, Ohio, Edward Chaney and Charles Chaney of Six Mile Run, and Mrs. Nellie Black of Six Mile Run. One brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Garlock was of the Church of God faith. Funeral services were held on Feb. 2 from the Six Mile Run Church of God, the Rev. Jack Kegarise officiating. Internment was made in the Duvall Cemetery at Six Mile Run. Obituary provided by Duke Clark, October 2002
