Doris Jean Patrick, 77, of Dauphin, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Holy Spirit Hospital. She was the loving wife of 58 years of Larry Patrick.
Doris was born in Harrisburg on November 16, 1938, a daughter to the late Earl and Elsie (Turns) Mumma. She worked as a custodian for Central Dauphin School District for many years before her retirement.
She attended the Heckton Church. Doris enjoyed shopping, going to the Ranch House for breakfast, and rooting for her favorite team, the Steelers. She was an excellent baker who truly cooked with love and her cheesecake, pumpkin pies, and her banana split cake were fought over by those lucky enough to taste them. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her beloved husband, Larry, she is survived by her children, Robert Patrick and his wife Tammy of West Fairview, Patricia Mitchell and her husband Robert of Virginia Beach, Ray Patrick and his wife Renee of Dauphin, and Jay Patrick of Dauphin; her brother, Norm Mumma and his wife Mary of Dover; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Eugene Patrick, Sr.
Viewing will be Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 10am-12noon, with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 12 noon at the Neumyer Funeral Home, 1334 North 2nd Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to any MidPenn Bank location, payable to Clark's Valley Zion EC Church, to the benefit of Doris Patrick.
