Azalean V. Canfield Mayfield 1909-2007

WARREN - Azalean Viola Canfield Mayfield, 97, of Warren died March 23, 2007,
at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Azalean was born Sept. 9, 1909, in Gilmore County, W.Va., to Francis Marion
and Marella Jane Messenger Canfield.
She married Lyman "Slim" Mayfield on Sept. 8, 1928. He passed away in 1972.
Azalean was a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren and playing bingo.
Azalean leaves behind a son, Ronald L. (Nancy) Mayfield of Howland, a
son-in-law, Robert Mumma of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, Jill
Mayfield of Boardman, Randall (Kristin) Mayfield of Gilbert, Ariz., Gregory
Mayfield
of Campbell, Calif., Linda DiSilvio of Florida, Pamela (Kenneth) Mayfie
Neely of Clinton, Miss., David (Mechale) of Terry, Miss., Patricia (James)
Mayfield Biggs of Salisbury, Md.; and one sister, Corene Keith of Las Vegas,
Nev.
She also is survived by 11 great-grandchildren and three
great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a son, Marion "Marty" Mayfield; a daughter,
Sally Ann "Sue" Mumma; three sisters, Emsy Tomblin, O'Dessie Bodkin and Evelyn
Spaide, and two brothers, Isaac and Russell Canfield.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Crown Hi
Burial Park Chapel in Vienna. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m until the time
of service Tuesday. The Rev. Paul Gaug of Champion Presbyterian Church will
officiate. Memorial gifts may be given to the charity of your choice.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Burial Park.
Selby-Cole Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
