Notes:
Marquise R. "Chuck" Mumma, 82, of 305 Railroad St., Mill Hall, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Feb. 18, 1926 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Herman and Kathryn Jenkins Mumma.
On June 1, 1957 in Mill Hall, he married the former Patricia L. Renninger, who survives at home.
Chuck was a truck driver, bus driver and mechanic. He also was one of the early volunteer drivers of the D.A.V. van, which transported veterans to the V.A. Hospital in Altoona and the V.A. Clinic in State College.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Stephen L. (Becky) Mumma of Beech Creek; two daughters, Shirley (Marty) Hileman of Hughesville and Shirlene (Allen) Neville of Lock Haven; two sisters, Caroline Williams of Williamsport and Margaruite Gutherie of Trout Run; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Louis Mumma, and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Hoover.
