The birth of 8 of Christian and Catherine's 10 children are recorded in the records of the First German Reformed Church of Baltimore.
Christian's Will was written on 11 Aug 1831 in which he divides his property between his children. He states that "because of the diseased state of Henry's mind he is incapable of cultivating and managing his land devised unto him", Henry's portion of land placed under the control of his other son, William. He further says: "I also devise unto my two daughters Ann & Catharine my negro man named Jacob." Christian signs his Will with his mark, an "X".
The children named are William, Henry, John, Susanna [Turner], Ann and Catharine. His wife is still living and directs the girls to take care of her.
