Olive F. "Ollie" (Mumaw) Jones, 86, of Houston went to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:40 pm Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at her residence. She was born November 15, 1930 in Piqua to the late Edward and Rebecca (Harden) Mumaw. She married George "Bill" Jones on December 24, 1949, and he survives.
Other survivors include a son, Terry (Karen) Jones of Piqua; a daughter, Susan (Bill) Rutherford of (Houston); eight grandchildren, Jason (Joanna) Curl, Brian (Sandy) Curl, Michael (Trisha) Curl, Harry (Angi) Jones, Cyrus Jones, Renee Jones, Zack (Kelli) Freeling, Ashley Freeling; and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Curl, two brothers and three sisters.
Ollie was a 1948 graduate of Houston High School and retired from the Stolle Corp. of Sidney following twenty-five years of dedicated service. She was an active and devoted parishioner of St. Boniface Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cards and giving hugs, kisses and a smile to everyone. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, May 1, 2017 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Fr Thomas L. Bolte as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Houston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 pm Sunday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home where a prayer service will be conducted at 1:00 pm.
