Notes:
Named in his mother's Will, Susanna Kemper Will, 1869 Lancaster, PA
A letter was left for Cyrus R. Mumma in the Westminster, MD post office in 1838 suggesting that he was in this area of Maryland at that time (age 23). There are a number of Barnhart familes also living in the area, so he likely met and married his wife in Carroll/Frederick County. Carroll County was formed in 1837 from Frederick County.
He is not found in the 1840 census so he is likely living in the household of someone else in the local area. The reason he migrated to Maryland from Pennyslvania is possibly because he fathered a child out of wedlock in Ephrata. An affidavit was filed by Catherine Peter stating that Cyrus K Mumma was the father of her child, Henry Mumma. This document was found by the librarian of the Cocalico Valley Historical Society in their files and is an original document. In addition, the formal deposition complaint that was filed by the comonwealth against Cyrus K. Mumma is found in the LancastorHistory.com files under the Lancaster courts quarterly session papers, Apr 1838.
I believet I found census entries are of the child, Henry Mumma, in 1840 and 1850 census as shown below.

John Sheeley, 60, m. farmer, $900 real estate, b. PA
Mary Ann " , 58, f, b. MD
Susanah " , f, 6, b. MD
[Note: John Sheeley is living 2 households away from Cyrus Mumma. John's daughter, Susanah Sheeley, married a Jesse N. Mumma, b. 1844, in 1867 and were living with John in the 1870 census. This area of 5th Election District would have been around Rocky Ridge Maryland where the Sheeley's lived, as well as Jesse Mumma and his descendants. No close relationship has been established between Cyrus Mumma and Jesse N. Mumma - This seems like a very unusual coincidence ot the families living so close together. Jesse has not been found in the 1850 census]
