Per Marilyn Curts, Isaac went to Dayton to help Luvicia with some difficulty. He caught the flu and died. It appears that he was one of the casualties of that flu epidemic of 1918. This would be somewhat confirmed from the fact he died in Montgomery Co., OH, but was buried in Ellensburg, Washington State where he resided in the 1910 census.

When Issac died in Montgomery Co., OH during a visit, his brother, Theodoric H. Mumma reported his death, but did not know his birth date. He only indicated a birth year of 1851 which is questionable.
