LOLA BELLE BENEFIEL VALPARAISO, IN Lola Belle Benefiel, 89, of Valparaiso, formerly of Palestine, IL, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Whispering Pines. She was born October 30, 1921 in Decatur, IL to George and Orah Mae (Drake) Mumma. Lola Belle was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses South Haven congregation and had been active in their outreach ministry since 1957. On August 3, 1940 she married Guy Benefiel who preceded her in death in 2003. Survivors include their children: Myrle (Lynda) Benefiel of Valparaiso, Marie Benefiel of Valparaiso; brother, Russell Mumma of Granger, IN; sister, Phyllis Allegree of Greenfield, IN; grandchildren: Kelly (Sean) Thomas and Corey (Becky) Benefiel; great grandchildren: Karl, Meagan and Maxwell Thomas and Jadyn and Tanyen Benefiel. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Doris Mallette; brothers: George and Dean Mumma; and a granddaughter, Tammy Benefiel. Following cremation a memorial service will be held Friday 5:00 pm at Kingdom Hall, 930 N. State Road #149, Valparaiso. Burial of ashes will occur in Bridgeport, IL. MoellerFuneralHome.com
