NETTIE I. MUMAW
Netti I. (Houseknect) Mumaw, 84, a resident of House 6 Hollywood, died Saturday evening at Saint Luke Pavilion, Hazleton, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Conyngham, daughter of the late Scott and Cora (Walp) Houseknect and lived her entire life in the Hazleton area.
She was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hazleton.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, William Mumaw in 1976; and brothers, Calvin, Robert, Raymond, Henry, Howard and John.
Surviving are daughters, Jean Gaverick, at home; and Mrs. David (Joan) Thomas, Conyngham; sons, John, Butler Township; and William, Rock Glen; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Claude Houseknect, Hazleton; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 426 W. Broad St., Hazleton. The Rev. Al Giles, pastor of Zion Evangelical Church, Hazleton, will conduct the services. Interment will follow in Mount Laurel Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
