The following was extracted from an obit for Jacob Jacoby by a Mrs. Edward Stevenson. Her connection is unknown. The newspaper and the date of publication are also unknown.

George Jacoby, son of Henry and Salome (Kern) Jacoby, was born June 16th, 1808, in Macungie, Tp., now Lehigh Co., Panna. He was a farmer, lumber merchant; Reformed Presbyterian; home near Seven Mile, and in Middletown, O. Died Dec. 1878, buried in Woodside Cemetary, East 4th St, Middletown. He married, first Maria Mumma, daughter of John and Anna Mumma. Born August 15th, 1816 in Pennsylvania, died December 17th, 1858. Presbyterian. Buried in same cemetary as husband. Her children were William Henry, Setp. 7, 1836; Amelia Anna, July 20th 1838; Edwin Mumma, Nov. 24th, 1839, and James Henry, May 23rd, 1842. William Henry died April 1st 1839, and was buried in Hickory Flat Cemetary S.E. of Seven Mile.
