In the 1850 census of Butler County, Daniel and Caroline Mumma have a daughter by the name of Florence. In the 1860 census of Madison Township, Butler County, OH p. 92, Florence and John Mumma are living with their mother with her new husband, Jacob Vorhis. No other Mumma children are listed. It is thorough the cemetery records that we discover another child was born and died.
