Irene Helen Mumma Brown, 96, formerly of Burnt Cabins and residing in Shippensburg Health Center since August, died Tuesday, December 11, 2001 at the center. Born in Burnt Cabins, she was the daughter of the late John and Myrtle Mumma. She was married to the late Merrill L. Brown, who died in 1984. She was a member of the Independent Bible Church of Burnt Cabins. She was a homemaker and enjoyed braiding rugs. Surviving are two sons: Donald Brown, Coalport, Pa and Warren Brown, Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was the last of 12 children. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 13 at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, McConnellsburg with the family receiving friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. For the convenience of friends, the door to the funeral home will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Robert Benson will officiate. Burial will be made in Burnt Cabins Cemetery.
