In the 1930 census he is listed as Daniel George Mumma. In the spirit of the Fulton County Mummas, he went by his middle name Dan!
Obituary reads:
Mr. Daniel George Mumma, 52, well known in this community died at the Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia on Sunday, August 9, 1942. Death was due to complications following an illness of more than a month. The deceased was a son of the late George B. and Amelia Ann Davis Mumma and was born near McConnellsburg on April 21, 1890. He was united in marriage to Blanche G. Kelso on August 17, 1920. Mr. Mumma was engaged in farming most of his life. Surviving is his widow and the following children: Veryl of Waynesboro; Georgia of Greencastle; Wayne, Beulah, Ivan and Betty, all at home. One sister, Pearl Mumma also survives. The deceased was a member of the Nazarene church. Funeral services were held from the Nazarene church on Wednesday, August 12, at 3:00 P.M. with Reverend Thomas Bambling in charge. Burial was made in the cemetery near the church. Obit found in the FCHS obituary file.
