Notes:
Betty R. Anderson, 82, of Chambersburg, Pa., and formerly of Greencastle, Pa., passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at The Shook Home, Chambersburg.
Betty was born in Needmore, Pa., on Jan. 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Goldie Blanch (Kelso) and George Daniel Mumma.
She was the widow of William R. Anderson Sr., whom she married May 9, 1953, and he passed away May 12, 2015.
Mrs. Anderson attended the First Assembly of God Church in Greencastle and was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, William R. (husband of Carol E.) Anderson Jr. of Greencastle; daughter, Doris J. (wife of Harold T.) Loftis of Greensboro, N.C.; brother, Ivan K. Mumma of McConnellsburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Debra R. Clites; two sisters; and three brothers.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg. There also will be visitation one hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Religious services at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, will be Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gregory Sinclair officiating.
Interment will be at Fairview United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville, Pa.
