Lawrence E. Mumma, 78, of Holly Place, Hagerstown, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at Washington County Hospital. Born Jan. 28, 1926, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Daniel G. and Theresa B. Zimmerman Mumma. He was a Christian. He is survived by two brothers, Hubert Mumma and Walter Mumma, both of Hagerstown. He was preceded in death by seven sisters, Anna Rager, Gladys Benner, Alma Shaffer, Florence Day, Charlotte Failes, Nellie Mumma, and Olive Hughes and six brothers, William Mumma, George Mumma, Gayland Mumma, Samuel Mumma, Wilbur Mumma and Ralph Mumma. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Rest Haven Cemetery. The Rev. J. Norman Mayer will officiate. Arrangements by Rest Haven Funeral Chapel."
