Harry and Henry is the same person. Why the M verses C?
Here's the answer. I found obituaries and censuses that indicates he was called Henry as well as Harry. By the time he was 16 years old he was being called Harry but still with the middle initial M. His middle name is McCurdy according to his obituary but apparently it became Curdy. McCurdy is his grandmother's maiden name. His marriage record indicates H.C. His father's obituary notes that son "Harry M., of Pleasant Ridge" survives. His mother's obituary notes that child "Harry, residing at Pleasant Ridge, this county" survives. He carried the H. C. initials till he died. (researched by Pamela Mumma, email mumma6@yahoo.com, 2002)
